It's the capital of the United States. 9th and U street, Washington D.C., a bar called Nyala's gets rocked every Thursday night wether it be just open mic or freestyle battles. The crowd of wannabe MC's, poets, DJ's and an aspiring web developer bob their heads to the phat spontaneously created beats. The dimly lit bar is filled with mad heads of mixed emotions: those who wish to battle and those who admire the culture, and the few who just like to talk shit. But only talk, of course. This is the underground, and at this point, the Amphibians rule as the deep crew takes center stage.

So who the hell are the Amphibians? The Amphibians are deep, their crew consisting of over 17 MC's, DJ's, beatmakers, and freestyle poets. Many members of the diverse crew has been all over the world, rocking spots from New York to Paris, France. And the hip-hop they freak is the true essence of the underground culture.
