How can a DJ remain underground and still rock shit? Pretty much everyone in D.C. has heard Analyze rock shit, they just never knew. He likes to do that. F.N.C., the underground hip-hop massive rocked many parties in the NW area, especially around Howard University. There's been many a times where DJ Analyze aka Gary Williams would just walk around the DJ booth and say, "Excuse me, may I cut?" And somehow, someway, he'd take a party and increase its magnitude 150 times. No shoutouts, no screaming his DJ name, he'd rarely ever get on the mic. It was just him. When you know you got skillz, there's no need to flaunt it. He's saved many dying parties from oblivian and has increased the reputation of many hip-hop crews around the area just from his mere presence.

There come a point, however, where the truth manifests itself. For the first time in his six years of DJ'ing, Analyze is finally manifesting his skillz publicly, instead of just locking himself in his room with Metaphysics, 360 degrees of knowledge, two 1200's and his SP1200. Analyze is strange. He's normal, but when you get into a deep conversation with him, you'll find that either he knows more than what he is supposed to, or he's just gets too deep for his own good. "Something's coming up. Something is bound to happen in the next 5 to ten years that will change the way we live, and our whole ideaology on life, completely. You can see the collective consciousness of the world through the deceptive media and on any medium of worldwide communication."

There's more to hip-hop than just beats, everybody knows that. There's a reason why Analyze hasn't fully engaged himself as a publicly known beatmaster. He's on a quest for knowledge unlike most would understand. Beyond the Physics, Statics, and Dynamics of his field of study, Electrical Engineering, he also gears his mind to the understandings of Metaphysics, and true spirituality unhindered and unchained by Religion and Religious monikers. But don't think he's a spiritual monk or anything like that, afterall he he did hang with Midknight when he was in D.C. But once you have a full understanding of yourself and the environment around you, nothing can stop you.

"If you study the actions and wisdom of some of the best like Premier, and Pete Rock, and Large Professor, they understand and have mastered everything they do and everything around there environment of living."

Some of his favorite production includes the three icons he mentioned as well as the Rza, Tribe, and the D.I.T.C crew (Diggin In The Crates). "When making a beat, if you sample, you have to use something nobody will know and change it, mold it into something of your own. I hate basic loops or when someone just takes a big chunk of a record and slaps some wack lyrics over it." That's the current angle commercial U.S. hip-hop has taken, I ask him what its going to take to get out of that direction.

"People, especially beatmakers are gonna have to stand for what they know is true beats and true hip-hop music. I understand getting paid and all that, but you can't monopolize an art form and destroy through greed and ego."

Right now Analyze is working with an underground MC named Jamal from Brooklyn, NYC. Jamal runs with the New York based F.N.C. crew consisting of a myriad of knowledge born MC's and DJ's including the nationally known, DJ Ben-HaMeen aka DJ Signified. Analyze has also been a supporter of the Skratch Pad for a year and a half now, however he has some ill feelings about the web. "I hate the internet," he says shaking his head, "All it is is a bunch of porn and sick shit and a bunch of bullshit businesses. There's very few individuals like your shit, really using it for what it's worth."

I looked at Analyze crossly. This was coming from a man who got angry at me for taking down some semi-naked pictures of Porn Actresses from my wall. But I understood what he was saying.
